Home  BOATS

We believe that our hulls are among the best in Britain.

Leading in design, construction and price.

The hull designs are tried and tested in the Uk, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia, and in the case of the Adventure, Explorer, RTB mono and Cat they are also built for Yamaha SA.  They are designed for sea use with better and safer sea keeping qualities than any other boat designs that we have tested.  We don't just build boats we have a maintenance yard where we have the opportunity to repair and test other models of boats so we really can compare ours with the rest.

Our designs have a history  and a pedigree which is why they have been chosen by Yamaha South Africa and are being built at the rate of 50 per month in peak season.

Our Hulls are made in three parts.

Construction speaks for itself, very few builders use a three mould process the way we do.  Most  prefer the more economical method  using a plywood chassis overlaid with plywood decks which are then laminated over and sprayed with rough gel coat finish.  Ply wood not even marine grade ply will fare well in the damp conditions the plywood chassis and floor underside exposed inside the hull very quickly delaminate and become heavy, losing strength.

Our tipple mould process.

Firstly, the hull is built in the mould using alternating layers of Scott-Bader roven and chop strand matting and resin.  Integrated hard wood strakes are fully laminated and sealed in the hull.

Secondly, we use a fibre glass ladder chassis, double the strength and area of conventional plywood chassis and  lighter, allowing us to add more laminations to the hull.

Thirdly, the deck also built in a mould, allowing for stylish tread pattern and smooth moulded extremes.  It has a marine ply layer in the lamination process to add stiffness, which is fully sealed into the deck.

The sponsons are made of the same PVC used by rib manufacturers around the world and is now the preferred material used by the majority of builders including  Zodiac who have a vested interest in Hypalon!  but admit that Hypalon's properties have now been superseded.  The tubes are fully thermo welded so there will be no leaks at the seams and all accessories are glued using a heat bonding process.   The gluing process allows repairs to be done in all sorts of conditions humid or dry using standard DIY tools.  We can repair an 8" tear and have the boat ready for the water within 1 hour!

We guarantee our products and always make sure that our customers are satisfied, not least with the price
