We generally supply the complete package ready for the water.  However we are custom boat builders so we can supply just what the customer requires.

There are no hidden extras the boat comes with hull and transom eyes, paddles, pump grab lines and six sponson handles. 

All our ribs are hand laid up with both moulded hulls and decks, with full length fibre glass chassis.  They are designed for beach/surf launching and are built to be strong, to shed water easily and to be agile.

info@menaimarine.biz   The 480 is one of our most popular designs it has been used for many varied tasks in the past starting its life in Durban it has been used for safety and rescue sports and fishing and endurance racing for thousands of Km along the African coast.  The boat as with all our South African designs is designed for strength optimum weight and sea handling characteristics.  These boats are designed to help the crew spend many hours in adverse conditions.  As a result they are comfortable and especially dry. 

The picture right shows the 480 with a sport jockey console and two adult plus child size jockey seats.  We have a range of consoles and seating arrangements to choose from.

The 480SR was originally based on the 550 and is essentially a shortened version with the addition of 50 cm tubes rather than 47 cm tubes fitted to the other craft.

The sponsons are set at an angle to prevent drag and spray over all creating a smooth and soft ride.  At slow speeds the craft settles onto the sponsons which afford a high degree of stability.

The 480 is a light easy to handle, launch and recover and is the ideal boat for families who do not require the space or weight of the 550.

Ribs make a versatile platform as safety/rescue boats for diving, transport, fishing, water skiing or just exploring.
